“Two Cars” is the second song from the new album “We Never Had Tomorrow Anyway”. It’s the opposite of the first single, “2020” in a lot of ways. 2020, like most of the record, is venting frustration at the possible futures that lay ahead, but Two Cars is a rare glimmer of hope. It’s about the small things in our lives that dictate the way we live, and how much our lives can change around them.
“2020” is the new single from the upcoming album “We Never Had Tomorrow Anyway”. It’s available now on all streaming services! AND here is a “live” video — one take on each instrument — from my basement where the album was recorded.

Like most of the new record, I wrote “2020” toward the end of 2019. I wrote out of frustration, watching “once-in-a-century” weather events devastate communities all over the world.
And like most of the new record, I recorded “2020” much later, in the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic – yet another “once-in-a-century” event – after which it had assumed a lot more unintended meaning.
