“Two Cars” is the second song from the new album “We Never Had Tomorrow Anyway”. It’s the opposite of the first single, “2020” in a lot of ways. 2020, like most of the record, is venting frustration at the possible futures that lay ahead, but Two Cars is a rare glimmer of hope. It’s about the small things in our lives that dictate the way we live, and how much our lives can change around them.

New single “2020” coming March 18 2022!

“2020” is the first single from the upcoming album “We Never Had Tomorrow Anyway”.

Like most of the new record, I wrote “2020” toward the end of 2019. I wrote out of frustration, watching “once-in-a-century” weather events devastate communities all over the world.

And like most of the new record, I recorded “2020” much later, in the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic – yet another “once-in-a-century” event – after which it had assumed a lot more unintended meaning.

“2020” will be available on streaming services everywhere on March 18, 2022!

Livestream Announcement!

It’s been two years almost since the last time I played a show, and in that time I’ve pretty much forgotten how to play all of my songs.

In the interest of relearning them I’ll be live-streaming on Instagram every Tuesday at 7 Eastern, starting Tuesday the 18th.

If you want to catch one, follow me on Instagram! @stuartwicke

This song, “2020”, comes from a new album that I recorded during the first wave of the pandemic two years ago. The studio recording and the full album will be coming later this spring!
